I appreciate you taking the time to visit the TEAM FIVE DRINKS' Tampa Bay Frogman Swim (TBFS) fundraising page! This will be my second TBFS, and I'm dragging along my SEAL squad for support. My son, Connor, will be my safety kayaker. My wife, Sherry, and daughter, KK, will take on volunteer tasks for the event. The 5th Drink is in Seattle providing emotional support:)

The TBFS is an event that directly supports the Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF is a 501(c)(3)). To date, the TBFS has raised over $8M for the NSF, including $1.2M in the 2024 event. Charity Navigator has awarded the NSF a 4-star rating since 2009 and a perfect score of "100" since 2014 for their financial health, accountability, and transparency. As a retired member of the SEAL family just a few years ago, I felt the pull to jump back in with my brothers to play an active part in the continued success of this amazing cause. The NSF's mission is to provide immediate and ongoing support to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families through:

- Immediate and ongoing tragedy assistance for families who have lost a loved one in training or combat

- Supporting family events to boost morale and encourage camaraderie

- Awarding scholarships and providing educational assistance to families of the Naval Special Warfare Community

- Preserving the rich history and heritage of the Naval Special Warfare community

I'm doing the 5 km TBFS on 19 January at zero dark thirty, with a shorty and fins this year due to getting into the initial stages of hypothermia last year (fins and amount of rubber are optional). The day commences with the traditional sunrise opening Memorial Ceremony followed by the Special OPS Jump Team raining down on the crowd to present the American flag, a moving scene with the National Anthem playing in the background and pictures of our fallen lining the high-water line. Following the swim portion of the event, the group gathers at a nearby restaurant where food, drinks, speeches, and a live/silent auction take place.
